Century is a renovated four storey historical building known
as the first place in the world where
commercial refrigeration was invented.
This building has been restored to it's original
condition by the owners James and Catherine
and is now an exclusive health club
with polished floors, sculptures
and lots of style.
A most original and spacious health club,
this historical building is on the Melbourne Historical tour round.
The ground floor is made up of a five
star reception desk, beauty
therapist and Century Cafe.
The mezzanine floor has spacious locker rooms with ironing and hair
drying facilities, saunas
and spas, solarium
and a huge massage room.
The second floor has an audio
visual theatre holding the latest cardio equipment,
a boxing hydraulic circuit
area, pin loaded weight
area and aerobic studio
for classes. The third floor has
free weights with polished floors and lots of mirrors while the fourth
floor is waiting to be used at a later date to avoid over-crowding in the Club.
